My life belongs to You O Lord
for now and evermore
because I have made that decision
to enter in that door

never again will I return
to go back to the past
my present and my future hope
is truth in it I’ll last

by conducting all my affairs
in integrity’s worth
this ship I’m in carried by faith
insures a haven’s berth
____
where all the cares of this world
confined to stay outside
in a sea of tumultuous waves
in Jesus I will hide
____
and that becomes my way of life
clinging to Whom I know
as the ship heaves and rocks about
my faith shall ever flow
____
for it keeps me afloat to live
each day one at a time
with rest in between I enjoy
at God’s table I dine
____
as we both share our company
God’s presence there is love
and that’s my quest to journey on
to our home far above
